Shaving or waxing?

I am sick of shaving my legs all the time. It itches so much when it first grows out, which basically means I am scratching myself to pieces in my sleep every 3rd night or so. It's driving me mad. Is waxing really much better? I'd hate to let it grow out so long and also I've heard you get ingrown hairs? Please advise. Not sure what the popular opinion is these days.

Shaving or waxing?

Sugaring (waxing) is definitely the best form of hair removal for legs, arms, etc. Sugaring products only stick to the hair and not the skin so are a lot less painful than traditional waxes.

Waxing is painful at first, but this diminishes with time and improving technique. Another benefit is that long term waxing can lead to permanent hair loss if the hair follicle gives up growing.

The waxing product you choose is critical so forget the gimmicky no heat waxes and opt for a really good sugar hair remover like Moom. Users rave about it!

wax. i never get ingrowns this way. and it doesn't itch when it grows out, either.

Shaving or waxing?

the trick is shave in the shower under the water

Shaving or waxing?

Have you ever tried sugaring? It is popular among women from the Middle East and is 100% natural.

Shaving or waxing?

wax, it's a lot cleaner and it takes longer to grow back, def. wax!

Shaving or waxing?

maybe try like nair or something or if u can afford it have it surgically removed and b done with it =0)

Shaving or waxing?

I have had my legs waxed before and oh my does it hurt! And, I got ingrown hairs from it, so I would not recommend it. However, I do recommend using Nair. I think it is better than shaving and the hir does grow back somewhat thinner.

Waxing sounds pretty good.I have heard that when u wax, your hair doesn't grow back as fast but i wouldn't know because i have never tried it.But trying new things never hurt anybody.(unless its trying to get somebody to smoke or something.)

Nair would be good, but NOT with sensitive skin. I tried it and oh my goodness, I had to keep dancing around to try and ignore the itchiness that ensued! When it was finally time to rinse it off my legs were very smooth, but I never wanted to go through with that again... If you try it, test it on an area of your leg first before you completely cover them! Me, I just shave with a Venus razor, but I don't know if that would help with your problem of itching when the hair grows back. The sugaring method looks interesting, I may look into that myself... But yeah, be careful with stuff like Nair.

Shaving or waxing?

It's more painful, but waxing is better. Over time, you'll also have less hair growth.

Shaving or waxing?

Waxing is WAY better, no itchyness, lasts for a long time, and when the hair comes back out its thinner!

If you're worried about having to grow out your hair long enough untill you can wax again, invest in an epilator. What I did was wax my legs, and then when the hairs grow back out I epilate them.

For now, get a better razor, i use venus devine kind for when i'm in a rush and cant wax/epilate. and exfoliating in the shower with exfoliating gloves, and then put on lotion right after you take a shower.

waxing is really awesome..the reason being when you get waxed frequently, your hair will start coming in a lot finer and since its taking the hair from the roots it damages the follicle which means you get less and less hair coming in..especially when you wax under your arms and bikini areas..as long as you go to someone who does it in the correct way it won't be as painful as some might think it is..when they say you get "ingrowns" thats not true, it just means that the hair is still in the first stage of growing..it needs to get to the 3rd stage to be able to wax it..when that happens just go in for another session so they can get the rest out after its grown a little bit more..honestly you would really love the results.

~Waxing~

Hot wax is applied to the skin, and a strip of cloth or paper is pressed into the preparation. The strip is then quickly pulled away, taking hairs with it.

Advantages:

Can be done at home

Fast

Inexpensive

Disadvantages:

Hairs can break off at or below surface

Can be messy

Consistency is difficult to get correct

One must be careful to avoid infecting skin

Costs: About $75 for home use kits; $20-$200 for professional waxing (based on areas treated)
