My son has taken to rubbing food in his hair/on his scalp. Very annoying to have to bathe him when he hates baths. Picking a piece of cheese out of his curls as we speak.

Oh the joys of sharing your world with a toddler!

My girl is now 19, but when she was a toddler, she always felt that she needed to bath herself in Spaghettios -- nothing else, just Spaghettios.

I could leave the room for just a minute while she was in her highchair eating and I would come back in and she would be covered from head to toe.

sounds oh so familiar. my almost 2 year old still does it. my 3 kids though, love baths which is why i always thought they done that. but maybe kids just like being dirty, giving us moms one more tiring thing to do, or are trying to get the feel of different substances on all their body to find where they like it best. sometimes they might do it because it just gets them that much more attention, and if your son has siblings, he may be trying to get more of your attention than his sibling the best way he knows how. siblings tend to do this no matter how much individual and group attention you give them. hopefully, depending on your sons age, the fase wont last too much longer.

I think this is common. My wife and I joke that we should cut out the middle man and give our son dinner in the bath tub.

no. my niece intends to put gum on her hair and she gets a popping from my sister (niece's mother)
