Please help: i need my bangs cut differently but don't know what to ask for?

I want full bangs, and do currently have bangs, but I want them cut all the way across, with a "part" or "line" all along the top where the bangs come straight down, sort of like the picture of my avatar that you can see; however, my current full bangs, while long, do not go across the top, they are shaped like a triangle that comes from a point at the top/middle, and fan out in a triangle in the middle of my forehed---instead of going across and coming down from different points all along the top, they come from that one point, and don't hang straight down, they fan toward one side or the other. When I lean forward, this triangle of bangs falls in one piece toward the middle of my forehead, so I end up with a hunk of hair hanging in the middle. Someone who knows the proper terms may be able to tell me the difference in the two styles of bangs, and I hope could help me properly describe what I want to my stylist.

i would either draw it out, tell her specifically when you are there (like direct her/ play by play) or bring a pic of someone like a celeb

i think what you want is straight bangs.

just tell your stylist that, and he or she

should understand what you mean.

if they don't, then just describe it like

Find a picture of how you want your hair to look and print it out and take it to the salon and ask the girl to cut it like that.

Ask for a full blunt-cut fringe and indicate where you want your fringe to come up to on your face to her - or, better yet:

find a picture of what you want and take it to the hairdresser!
